Wir haben den Aufruf "Zählgerät ausleihen und Mobilität mitgestalten!, den wir am 17.09.2025 veröffentlichen werden, als Mobilitätsaktion bei der Europäischen Mobilitätswoche 2025 eingereicht.

The SAI-Lab, a real-world laboratory for sustainability and a micro-think tank for sustainable development in Berlin, is committed to sustainable, climate-friendly, and safe mobility. As a volunteer-run laboratory for citizen science, we combine everyday usefulness and innovation with research, administration, and civic action. As part of European Mobility Week, we present the call "Borrow a counting device and help shape mobility!" from the project "Commons 011: Berlin Counts Mobility (BzM)." With the first Telraam counting device from the SAI Lab, the very first information gathering in 2022, and the trial operation of the technology in the SAI Lab, things quickly grew: The joint citizen science project of the ADFC Berlin e.V. entitled: "Berlin Counts Mobility." The basis for this is the close partnership with the DLR e.V., which provides the devices loaned out by the ADFC.
As part of the "Berlin Counts Mobility" project, all Berliners can borrow a counting device free of charge for as long as possible, install it in their own suitable window, and operate a civic traffic counting station. The devices capture coarse pixel silhouettes and recognize and count people, as well as various types of small and large vehicles on the road. The high-quality data from the counts is made available online via data servers for access and display for information, presentation, and analysis. Together with DLR e.V. and ADFC Berlin e.V., we invite you to join the count in Berlin.

Das SAI-Lab, ein Reallabor für Nachhaltigkeit und ein Micro-Thinktank für nachhaltige Entwicklung in Berlin, engagiert sich für nachhaltige, klimafreundliche und sichere Mobilität. Als ehrenamtlich geführtes Labor für Bürgerwissenschaft verbinden wir Alltagsnutzen und Innovation mit Forschung, Verwaltung und bürgerschaftlichem Engagement. Im Rahmen der Europäischen Mobilitätswoche präsentieren wir den Aufruf „Zählgerät ausleihen und Mobilität mitgestalten!“ aus dem Projekt „Allmende 011: Berlin zählt Mobilität (BzM)“. Mit dem ersten Telraam Zählgerät vom SAI-Lab, der allerersten Informationsbeschaffung im Jahr 2022 und dem Probebetrieb der Technik im SAI-Lab, wurde rasch mehr: Das gemeinsame Projekt der Bürgerwissenschaft (englisch: Citizen Science) des ADFC Berlin e.V. mit dem Titel: "Berlin zählt Mobilität". Grundlage dafür ist die enge Partnerschaft mit dem DLR e.V., der die Geräte bereitstellt, die vom ADFC verliehen werden. 
Alle Berlinerinnen und Berliner können sich im Projekt „Berlin zählt Mobilität“ für möglichst lange Zeit ein Zählgerät kostenlos ausleihen, im eigenen geeigneten Fenstern anbringen und damit eine bürgerlicher Verkehrszählstelle betreiben. Die Geräte erfassen grobe Pixel-Silhouetten und erkennen und zählen Menschen, sowie verschieden Arten kleinen und großen Fahrzeugen auf der Straße. Die qualitativ hochwertigen Daten aus den Zählungen werden zur Information, Darstellung und Auswertung im Internet über Datenservern zum abrufen und anzeigen bereitgestellt. Zusammen mit DLR e.V., ADFC Berlin e.V laden wir dazu ein, sich der Zählung in Berlin anzuschließen.
